Hold The Rope

Financial Principles:  All of the needs for our ministry will be obtained through prayer alone.  We don't raise support, solicit money or present our needs to anyone but God.  We will share our specific vision and communicate the work that we are currently involved in but we rely on God alone to provide our needs.

We hold to this conviction for the following reasons:

1.  We see no other model in Scripture to do anything else.

2.  We believe God will receive the most glory. We have seen God meet all our needs by prayer alone by burdening brothers and sisters to give the amount we need at the right time. When God does meet all our needs by the means He has ordained, then only He can get glory. We never have to guess if it was our asking, manipulation, hinting, fund raising abilities or anything of ourselves that brought money in because we only petition God for our needs. Countless great men in history have held to the same biblical principles and God still is receiving the glory as we read of their stories.

3.  We believe that the reality of this doctrine is shown. We all have an intellectual understanding of biblical doctrine but the test comes when we live it out in our lives. Is what we believe a reality in our lives and if so how? We really believe that God is sovereign, that He really will provide our needs and that He knows them before we ask,  that He really does care for us as He cares for the sparrows, that we have no need to be anxious because our Father knows our needs and will always provide them for us. We really believe that our God, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, has unlimited resources and can use whatever means that He determines to meet our needs. It is a reality in our lives that our God will supply every need of ours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

4.  We believe that if God has ordained that we minister in Peru then He will always provide the means for us to be here. By only asking God for our needs, we know that if He is continually providing for us then He is in our work here in Peru. If God is not in our work in Peru then we do not want to be here. Each day that God provides our needs is a confirmation of Him supporting our work here in Peru.

5.  Our supreme passion is to display with open proofs that God can be trusted with the practical affairs of life. I believe as brothers and sisters in Christ see how God is providing for us by prayer alone, they will glorify God, trust in Him more, and increase their faith knowing that God really does answer prayer.

We are simply trusting in God to provide for us through the means of prayer. We are asking God to raise up obedient Christians to radically give their time and resources for the sake of the advancement of the Kingdom of Christ. We pray that these God ordained people will provide for us in the mission field so that we can proclaim the glorious gospel of Christ in Peru.

God continues to sustain us daily and only He can take credit or glory for our provision. We have seen much of God through His provision for us and we can only marvel at His greatness.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19)

It is so important that we are all sacrificing in some way to fulfill the great commission that Jesus commands of us all.  Although we should all be involved in foreign missions by either going or sending those who are willing to go, it may not be God's will for you to give your money to us.  We ask that you first pray to God and ask how you should sacrificially give and please first give to your local church.
