I am not my own, nor would I choose for myself. Let God employ me where He thinks fit.
William Carey (Missionary to India 1790)
Again, much has happened this past month. The closer we get to leaving the busier we are. We did hear from the language school in Costa Rica and should be hearing from someone to help us find a house to rent soon.
The leftist, former army officer, Ollanta Humala won the Peru presidency. Our plans have not changed and we press forward trusting in our sovereign God who appoints leaders for His purposes.
So people are asking if our full reliance on God for support worked? Did God raise up the individuals and churches that He has already ordained from the foundation of the world? He has certainly did and He has done it in such a powerful way that will glorify His name so mightily.

Here is how he did it. We only can comprehend a little of how this all worked behind the scenes but this is what we know. Some people that volunteered to support us decided not to while others who we never knew existed did so abundantly. God raised up many individuals and some churches to hold the rope for us. Many people have told us testimonies of how God answered their prayers to support us in mighty ways. Support has also come in from people we would have never guessed would support us and from people we do not know and from completely anonymous people. When we announced that we were going to be missionaries, I never knew very many churches, but God, by His perfect providence, raised up churches that were put in our path that we built a great relationship with and that decided to partner with us in Peru . Jordan Hall from Fellowship Baptist Church in Sidney , MT , our biggest financial supporter came up with the idea to turn the basement of the church into a boarding house for the oil field workers and charge them rent. The church voted to give a part of this rent to us for our personal support and for the support of the two churches that we will start, God willing, in Peru . All the glory and credit can only go to God.
The in-laws came for a looting and pillaging weekend and took a large amount of stuff home with them. They took everything that wasn’t nailed down, even our yellow lab. It was sad to say goodbye to such a great dog that has been with us for the last 9 years. It was a great joy being with family and we are realizing how difficult it will be to leave them. But Jesus is worth it.
Abundant Grace church in Big Timber continues to glorify God and develop a greater passion for missions. They gave me such a great tool called the Puritan Hard Drive which is filled with 12,500 Puritan and Reformation books and resources.

We were put in contact with the people in Costa Rica who will help us find a house to rent. They are current students that will be our “big brother” and help us transition and get settled in when we arrive in Costa Rica . We had a great talk and they gave us some good advice. It looks like most of the house we can rent have a fair amount of cockroaches and rats but this is a small price to pay. I look forward to running a rat trap-line. We found out that we will arrive in the rainy season, which last for at least 3 months and it rains pretty much continually. We will have to walk everywhere we want to go, which I’m looking forward to. The Killillay’s are also in progress of renting a house as well and everything is progressing well.
I have finished my job and am now unemployed in the world and full time employed to God. I am so thankful to God for giving me a great job and my family such a great place to live for a season. We will miss this place but we are looking forward to the new season in our lives that God is graciously giving us.
Our visa paper work is all in order and everything that we can do in the United States is complete. Please continue to pray that we will be able to obtain visas in both Costa Rica and Peru .
We will be very busy in July preaching and sharing the gospel around Montana and I’m am zealously looking forward to it.
